Why
Fantasy Flight Games is a company that I like very much for all the boardgames, cardgames and roleplayings that it produced and that I have enjoyed very much for some time now. When Star Wars products they offer were diversified with a new wargame, Star Wars Legion in 28mm, there was no hesitation onto which miniatures to paint and collect next.
How
Miniatures can be prepared for painting very easy. It is here that the experience of Fantasy Flight Games as the best boardgames company (at least, for many of us) can be clearly seen. The miniatures come with a base that can be quickly personalized with basing materials on your own design or corresponding to the Star Wars universe in which the characters and troops fought.
Results
After preparing the miniatures for painting, the painting process was done and then that of taking many photos of the miniatures. Finally, a gallery of images and many webpages were prepared along with this review.
Review
The miniatures come from the starter set (corresponding to Star Wars movie Episodes IV-VI) and from many other sets (units or individual miniatures). The assembling is done quickly, intuitive, boardgame-like, true to the nature of its producer, and the details on the plastic 28mm miniatures are good. They can be painted easily. The prices for the miniatures are medium-high, but this you can expect for something that is Star Wars. Also, for some of the miniatures, the prices are quite right in terms of materials, not to mention fan-favourites. Any AT-ST fan out there?
The miniatures from Fantasy Flight Games and their Star War Legion range are doing a great job for any Star Wars fan out there. The wargame comes with rules, but not much story around the characters represented, as this can be assumed it is known or maybe it is due to licence-limits. You must paint these miniatures if you are a Star Wars fan, this is a good invested time also for any hobbyist out there, and one that can bring you fond memories of the movies (even the new ones!) or wargames plays or simply painting experience.
