Naval Assault

For a sci-fi battlefield we do not have many options in terms of miniatures to conduct a naval assault. After I have previously painted BRKL Fire Support Boat (SF300-1212a) and BRKL River Gunboat (SF300-1212) from the Neo-Soviet faction of 6mm SF miniatures range produced by Brigade Models and Large Patrol Gunboat (DF-R01), Riverine Patrol Boats (DF-R02) and Landing Craft (waterline) (DF-R03) from Future Wars range of miniatures produced by Ground Zero Games, I turned to Strato Minis Studio. They have a pretty impressive range of miniatures and I was happy to see they have developed a nice range of miniatures for naval combat composed of the following miniatures: Belgutei, Dagon AAT, Gator Civilian Transport, Gator HAC Assault, Gator HAC Support, Hogan G1M1, Hogan L, Hogan M4, Jebe, Khasar, Licaon, Monsoon MGB and Monsoon MTB.

The miniatures from the three manufacturers can be separated into transport vessels, boats and gunboats.

As with any range of miniatures they can be developed in the future and so many more miniatures can appear for naval combat. Also other companies may be identified (what I am missing?) or can appear in the future, that will produce this kind of miniatures. But for now, I leave with probably the most impressive miniature for naval assault, Dagon AAT, from Strato Minis Studio:

The incredible 6mm miniatures from the DirtSide range are all presented here, in the order of the code that each miniature was given from the GZG's site. With [a], [b] ..., are represented other images of the same miniature, dating back from a couple of years.
For the review of GZG miniatures from Dirtside, Future Wars, some 3mm miniatures from Germy's Micro Minis and 15mm check here. I general, I use some 3mm miniatures in my 6mm wargames and collection when I see them fit.
