Miniatures painting: preparing step - washing with water and liquid soap the English Knights of the 100 Years War XIV-XV BB, produced by Zvezda in 2015, code 8044 |
As you may know, the step of preparing your figures for painting is a very important step. Look at the assembling guidelings, take a paper towel, a super glue, a file, a cutter, a jar or something similar with water and liquid soap, and start this step not before arming yourself with patience, depending on how difficult to assemble a miniature is or how poor it was cast (in metal, plastic, resin) resulting in moulds of flesh. After assembling you need to wash your miniatures with water and soap, clearing them of chemicals and other substances that have been accumulating on your precious miniatures, and which are serious obstacles in the latter steps of painting. If done carrefully it will save you time, brushes, paints and nerves.
