Brigade Models Sci-Fi 6mm Hammer's Slammers Miniatures Images

Why
After developing the 6mm SF miniatures range, inspired from Iron Cow 2103 AD game and universe, Brigade Models developed also the Hammer's Slammers 6mm range of miniatures, based on David Drake works and playable with the game Hammer's Slammers: The Crucible, rulebook by John Treadaway and John Lambshead. The rulebook is good, the miniatures are great and the sci-fi environment is fantastic, so I wanted to slowly be able to paint also these miniatures. This range of miniatures keeps growing, so it is a nice and continuous process in collecting and painting them, that is way you should expect only to be able to read a near complete review of these miniatures.
Ready...Steady..Go.

How
The miniatures come unpainted and require some preparation (removing little flesh, washing) and assemble (easy with superglue).  Black primer from Vallejo was applied and some coats of paints followed. Depending on the factions/sub-ranges of miniatures I have some paint schemes:
# Alaudae Legion - Light Grey 990, Bronze Green 997.
# Apex Dragoons - Khaki 988.
# Centurion LTV - Bluff 976, Retractive Green 890, German Grey 995.
# Fasolini Company - Bronze Green 997.
# Lightning Division - Light Grey 990, Dark Blue Green 904.
# Thunderbolt Division - German Grey 995, Iraqui Sand 819, Beige Brown 875.
# Waldheim Dragoons - Brown Sand 876, Chocolate Brown 872.

Results
Under each photo, that can be enlarged so you can observe the details more easily, there is the name of the painted miniature in alphabetically order and a link that leads you to further images if you are more interested in a respective miniatures. For each miniature I have taken photos from different angles. You can you use the search function to find out more easily when you want to find something in particular. As I said, the Hammer's Slammers range of miniatures is in full development so expect not to read about all their miniatures, but you will surely make a good idea of posibilities that this range of miniatures has.

Review
The miniature range is inspired from Hammer's Slammers sci-fi universe and is a growing range of miniatures. The design of miniatures is good and is a step forward than most of the old 6mm sci-fi range of Brigade Models. Curiosly, Hammer's Slammers in itself represents a sci-fi with many influence from '80s sci-fi, Vietnam, near sci-fi environment. The Hammer's Slammers miniatures offer new possibilities for those wanting to paint and play wargames in 6mm. It is adequate from the point of view of measures and compatible with other 6mm miniatures. In general, as for the other range of miniatures from Brigade Models, some miniatures vehicles have a chassis and multiple weapons or capabilities.

There are multiple faction/sub-ranges of miniatures, some of them need desperately to be developed while other are more well developed. Some factions from Hammer's Slammers use miniatures from Brigade Models's other range of miniatures like Alaudae Legion or even from other Hammer's Slammers faction like Thunderbolt Division that use some Centurion LTV minis. I only present minis that are unique to this range corresponding to their faction. It is only somewhere neart complete collection. There are not that many possibilities in terms of minis: there are only land and air vehicles, some artillery (i.e. Oto Melara 410C Tracked Gun) and infantry (i.e. Fasolini Infantry).

I was surprised by Centurion C4H6 (HS6-2217), a massive mobile artillery and I generally like Slammer's type of tank in its many forms, although at first I did not enjoy it, because it seem to me like a hilarious tank. The truly unique thing from this range, apart from the general design of miniatures are some trailers from the Thunderbolt Division minis: Varningr Calliope Trailer, Varningr Cargo Trailer or Varningr MLRS Rocket Trailer. The future may reserve us even more interesting surprises.
